Sparkling Gourami (Trichopsis pumila) is a tiny but captivating freshwater fish admired for its shimmering pattern of iridescent blue spots scattered across a warm brown body. When light catches their scales, these spots appear to sparkle—giving the species its charming common name.
Despite their small size, Sparkling Gouramis have big personalities. They are known for producing soft clicking or croaking sounds during displays and interactions, a unique behavior rarely heard in aquarium fish.
