Description
The Tiger Oscar is a bold and intelligent cichlid known for its striking orange and black patterning and interactive personality. Native to South America, Oscars are often considered one of the most personable freshwater fish—they quickly recognize their owners and may even beg for food. Their large size and messy eating habits mean they require strong filtration and regular maintenance, but in return, they become a true centerpiece fish in any large aquarium.
